We are the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi! Located in beautiful Cedar City, we are the largest Greek organization on the Southern Utah University campus. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest ideals and achieving academic excellence. Our main focuses are Service, Scholarship, Sisterhood, and Social... the four S's!

 

Theta Sigma wishes our graduating seniors congratulations! Thank you for your impact on our chapter and know that where ever you go Alpha Phi will be there to support you!

 

 

 

In The Past Year...

 

The  women of Theta Sigma have worked so hard this year and we are glad to say it has paid off in so many ways! Here are a few of our accomplishments;

 

-Recipient of The Order of the Lamp from Alpha Phi International for over all excellence as a chapter

 

-Top Greek GPA on campus

 

- #1 in Greek Service hours

 

- Organization of the Year 2009

 

-Above the SUU All-Women's GPA for two years running

 

- 12 women from Alpha Phi were initiated into Gamma Sigma Alpha, a greek Academic Honor Society

 

-25% of our chapter was on the Deans List the past semester

 

-Kathleen Mcdowell received The Michealean Award for her dedication as our amazing Chapter Advisor

 

-Timian Yoshimoto (current President), received Female Contributer of the Year

 

-Raquel Roldan (former President) was awarded the Sterling R. Church Involvement Award

 

 

A Message From the President...

Welcome to our fabulous website for the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi at Southern Utah University!  We are excited for you to learn of the incredible organization of women that we are.  The upcoming year is full of excitement that includes  important philanthropic efforts, fun-filled socials, glamourous formals, sisterhood bonding activities, and the best recruitment activities that are guaranteed for a good time!  We are looking forward to meeting our new sisters during the year's recruitment periods.

This organization is unlike any other.  We are a group of women with differing backgrounds, beliefs, ages, and cultures all having a special bond; We are sisters in Alpha Phi, and we are truly sisters in every sense of the word.  Alpha Phi is an international community that promotes success, ambition, dedication, and development into becoming the best woman we can be.  I can personally testify that Alpha Phi has set me on the pathway for success in my life.  I have developed the organizational, leadership, speaking, and social skills necessary for my success in the workplace.  On the other spectrum of development, I have met my life-long best friends.  Alpha Phi is a family that spans across countries and generations.  I know all my sisters will always be there to support me.  Here at SUU, Alpha Phi can be the key to making your college experience unforgettable!

Becoming an Alpha Phi was the best decision I have ever made.  I am the woman I am today because of all of my sisters.  Thank you for the growth you have given me and for the constant love you show me.  We are continually growing, and becoming better and better.  We will continue to succeed collectively and individually!  Thank you alumnae for building our foundation and providing the way for us.  Also, thank you to our families for your love and support.  I am extremely grateful and blessed to be the President of such an extraordinary organization.  To my sisters, I love you forever!
